BIOGRAPHY

 

 

The soprano Alessandra Maniccia has achieved her Singing Diploma with the highest honours at the Conservatory "A. Casella" of L’Aquila under the guidance of Maria Chiara Pavone. She has begun studying Opera Singing techniques under the guidanceof Mirella Solenghi Ronconi and subsequently, with Angela Bucci, deepening, among other things, the study of Lied; repertoire with Luisa Prayer and Stage Performance with Cesare Scarton.She has improved her skills attending several masters such as the European Master "The Roads of Romanticism" at the Academy of Music of Warsaw, and Masterclasses held by the tenor Giuseppe Sabbatini, the soprano Daniela Dessì, the basso Roberto Scandiuzzi, the contralto Sara Mingardo.She has attended high specialization courses at the School of Music in Fiesole with Claudio Desderi, at the "Ateneo Internazionale della Lirica" of Sulmona and the Excelsior Academy of Pescara with the soprano Luciana Serra, the alto Bernadette Manca di Nissa, Umberto Finazzi, at the "Accademia Filarmonica Romana" with the soprano Elizabeth Norberg‐Schulz, at the "Accademia Chigiana" of Siena with Alexander Lonquich.

In the meantime, she has completed her classical high school studies and she has graduated in Architecture at “Roma Tre” University.

Starting with 2012 she has attended the Opera Studio at the "Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia" in Rome, with Renata Scotto, Anna Vandi and the director Cesare Scarton. She has enhanced her Baroque repertoire with Vincent Aguettant at the Résonnance international foundation. Alessandra has performed in several concerts and productions such as in Warsaw, interpreting Lieder of F. Chopin, in Rome in the Palazzo della Cancelleria performing as Hyacinthus in the Opera "Apollo et Hyacinthus" (KV 38) by W.A.Mozart, in Terni as soloist and chorist in the opera productions of the association "Anfiteatro Lirico", in the “ArteIncanto‐Città di Basciano” Festival singing the role of Lesbina in the Opera "Il filosofo di campagna" by B.Galuppi, in L'Aquila with the "Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese" interpreting Mozart's arias and duets, in the Palau de la Musica in Valencia (Spain) under the direction of Donato Renzetti, in Abruzzo interpreting Lied Repertoire in different circumstances including her contribution to the International Festival of Music "Pietre che cantano", in the Annunziata Auditorium of Sulmona in the concert of "Ateneo Internazionale della Lirica", in the Museum Pignatelli of Naples interpreting Lieder of Schumann, Schubert, Wolf e Strauss playing in duo with the pianist Tommaso Turchetta, at the "Grenoble Institut Français de Naples" interpreting melodies of G. Faurè and C. Debussy, in L'Aquila and in the theater of Atri performing the role of Fiordispina from "L'impresario in angustie" by D. Cimarosa, in Monteleone d'Orvieto in the role of Serpina from "La serva padrona" by G. B. Pergolesi, at the Teatro Valle of Rome in the role of Gilda from “Rigoletto” of G. Verdi for a series of performances designed for schools, with the Belcanto Chorus under the direction of Martino Faggiani and Fabio Biondi at the Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti for the productions of the Reati Festival 2013, in Cavarzere (Ve) in a lyric concert in honor of Tullio Serafin in the theater dedicated to him, with the Coro del Teatro Verdi di Trieste under the direction of Gianluigi Gelmetti.Recently she has won the contest for the role of Lisetta in the “Il mondo della luna” by B. Galuppi at the Piccolo Festival del Friuli Venezia Giulia.

In May‐June 2014 she has worked as a added Soprano in the Chorus of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma with Roberto Gabbiani Choirmaster and performed in “Nabucco” and “Simon Boccanegra” by G. Verdi, conducted By Riccardo Muti, in the Bunka Kaikan and NHK Hall theaters in Tokyo.
