BIOGRAPHY

 

Lucia Conte, soprano. She graduated in Opera singing with a honors at the Conservatory "Tito Schipa" in Lecce. She is also graduated in Languages and Literatures at the University of Salento. She completed her vocal studies with famous Opera stars such as Mirella Freni , Renato Bruson, L. Shambadal , D.Livermoore, Katia Ricciarelli, Raina Kabaivanska, Giuseppe Sabatini, EnzoDara, A. Felle, G. Lomazzi, S. Lowe. In 2012, she perfected at the Academy S. Cecilia in Rome with Renata Scotto and in 2013-14 she perfected at the Academy "Celletti" Martina Franca with S. Bonfadelli, L. Cuberli, S. Prina, F. Luisi. She won international competitions: International Singing Competition "Valerio Gentile" in Fasano (Br) 2009, and the International Music Competition "MagnificatLupiae " (Le) in 2010. She won the 13th edition of the International Opera Competition in roles for L' Elisird'Amore " Spiros Argiris " in Sarzana (Sp ) in 2012 , and she was Adina in the Firma fede Fortress of Sarzana. In 2014 she won the Opera Competition in roles “Voce all’opera” Rosetum of Milano and she was Musetta in La Bohème of Puccini and Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore in the Opera season of the Rosetum Theater 2014, directed by G. M. Aliverta. In 2014 she win the Opera-Studio Competition for Il Barbiere di Siviglia in the theaters ‘Giglio’ of Lucca, ‘Goldoni’ of Livorno, ‘Coccia’ of Novara and ‘Verdi’ of Pisa.She performed the main roles of the following operas: Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck conducted by A. Greco with the direction of J. Dechamps, XXXX edition of Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca; Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, XXXX edition of Festival della Valle d’Itria; Don Carloby Verdi conducted by F. M. Bressan, 45° Traditional Opera Season of the ‘Politeama Greco ’Theater in Lecce; Rigoletto and La Traviata in the Casamari Opera Festival (FR); Rigoletto at the Belloni theater in Barlassina (MB) conducted by L. Tazzieri; Requiem by Mozart with the Magna Grecia Orchestra; Crispino e la Comare by Ricci, conducted by J. Bignamini, direction of A. Talevi, XXIX edition of the Festival Della Valle D’itria; Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini Festival di Fantiano 2014 and Bitonto Opera festival 2015; Orfeoall’Inferno by J. Offenbach in ‘San Babila’ Theater in Milan, ‘Verdi’ Theater in Genova and ‘Sale de Fetes de la Mairie’ in Paris; Rigoletto in the Camerata Musicale Salentina Opera Season in Lecce; Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart, in the Theater of Bardolino (Vr), Verona and Salerno directed by Katia Ricciarelli; Messa dell’ Incoronazione by W. A. Mozart, Exultate Jubilate by Mozart, Dixit Dominus by G. F. Händel, Oratorio de Noël by C. Saint-Saëns, Magnificat by A. Vivaldi, Magnificat in Re magg.by J.S. Bach, Carmina Burana by C. Orff, Stabat Mater by Boccherini, Cantata BWV106 Actus Tragicus by J. S. Bach, Gloria by Vivaldi. She also has an international concert activity. In 2008 she performed at the European Parliament in Brussels; in June 2, 2012 on the occasion of Republic Day by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, she performed at the Opera House in Hanoi and in 2014 she sang with the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra directed by C. Magni at the Thailand Cultural Center of Bangkok.
