BIOGRAPHY

 

 

The soprano Francesca Copertino has graduated in Opera singing at Niccolò Piccinni Conservatoire in Bari, Italy. She has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Literature and a Master’s degree in Art History, both with the highest honors and distinction from the University “A. Moro” in Bari (Italy). She has completed her studies with a graduate thesis in Contemporary Art History during a period of research at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.

In 2012, Francesca has been a choral director in Barcelona and has attended different Diploma Courses in Belcanto  for Opera Studies, such as a Master Degree with Teresa Berganza at the ESMUC Music School in Barcelona, a Master Degree at the European Academy of Arts in Trani, Italy, a Master Degree “Umbria Classica” in Norcia, Italy and the IMC 2012 Project in Teramo, Italy.

She has taken part in national and international voice events and has performed as soloist at many concerts with a wide repertoire of opera and chamber music but also Neapolitan or Sacred music.

Francesca has collaborated with the string quartet “Verne”, performing in Corato, Molfetta, Bariand in all Apulia region, with the string orchestra “Arcadia” and with “Collegium Musicum” Orchestra in Bari.

Moreover she has performed at Politeama Theatre in Lecce, Italy, where she has sang Cherubini’s Mass.  In Seville-Spain, Francesca Copertino has performed for important cultural institutions such as: Italian Consulate in Barcelona, the Philology Faculty, where she was also an Italian language teacher, “Real e Ilustre Colegio de Médicos”, “Conservatorio Profesional de Danza” and "La Palmera"Conservatoire. She has performed as soloist artist in many international festivals, such as the International Mid-Summer Festival in Tagliacozzo, Italy and at Chieti Theatre during the events dedicated to Mozart's Week. She has also collaborated with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed at many charity concerts in L’Aquila to raise funds for rebuilding the city.

She is currently studying in an Opera Voice two-year course at “A. Casella” Conservatoire inL’Aquila and performes in concerts in Italy and abroad. Francesca has recently concluded a six months work experience for Silversea Cruise Lines as Principal female vocalist in a World Cruise.
